Every single school day last year Truman ate toast and hot chocolate for breakfast in front of whatever was on PBS. So far this year he's eaten something different every day but today he asked for his standard favorite.
Truman loves homemade whole wheat bread which I almost always have around. Libby on the other hand likes white bread. I rarely make white bread anymore and she always grumbles about wheat bread but yesterday I made a batch of each. So this morning I made Truman wheat toast and surprised Libby with white.
Truman took a look at his plate and then at Libby's and said, "Why does she get the good toast?" I was surprised and said, "You like wheat bread better." to which he replied, "Her bread is clear and I got dirty bread!"
It cracked me up!

I was glad to see your note on Meadow's blog. Samuel, Steven and Jenni also have blogs that are connected to Meadow. I have no blog, just look at my kids. How is California? Are you staying forever? Meadow, Hazel,Jenni and I went to San Diego for 5 days. Meadow will post pictures.
