You may remember the blog challenge where the first 5 people to respond would get a handmade gift from me and then they had to post the challenge on their own blog? Well I did it because I had responded to my niece Lillian's challenge. That was some time ago and I haven't forgotten that I'm going to make something for my 5 respondents (I'm still collecting ideas). But I had sort of forgotten that I had signed up on Lillian's blog and she "owed" me something.
Yesterday I flew home from Utah to spend some time with James in San Diego. I went to a meeting, ate, and just before crashing saw an envelope sitting on the table among the other unread mail and it was from Lillian. Inside were these lovely crocheted bookmarks and adorable candy corn hot pads! I was so pleased, I just love them Lillian, thanks!
Then to top it off I checked my facebook really quick and found out that Lillian finally had her baby yesterday! What an amazing woman--delivering beautiful handmade objects and a baby on the same day! Top that, if you can!

I'm glad you like them; I had fun making them. The handmade gifts was by far the easier of the two deliveries :)
I love those candy corn hot pads... super cute! I need to take a picture and post the sweet bibs she made for the baby!!
