Happy Father's Day James!
Look at all that yummy squash James has worked so hard to produce for our family!
Jesse and Jackie Powell were here for a visit last week. Jesse and James wired the ceilings in Libby's room and our room and hung ceiling fans and we've loved them every second since. Once again I realize how grateful I am to be married to a man whose father taught him how to work. James said the attic was about 120 degrees when he was up there doing Libby's wiring. The next day when he went up to do ours he got up a lot earlier!
James was off to early meetings this morning so no breakfast in bed for him. But Libby got up and made him a tasty smoothie and I microwaved a Jimmy Dean sausage biscuit sandwich which he said was pretty good.
James is a great dad. He works hard to support his family, he plays catch with his sons, he drives his daughters around and will even take them shopping, he helps with homework and tries to teach the kids other kinds of work. He folds laundry and washes it too. He irons his own shirts since I'm still not in the habit. He takes care of the yard and the pool and loves to go swimming with the kids, he coaches kids baseball teams and will try out coaching soccer this fall. He prays with Truman and Libby every night and tucks them in bed. He calls us to family prayer every night and studies the scriptures with us too.
I am thankful for James. For his dedication to the Lord and his family. We are so blessed to have him to teach us and provide for us, to support us and love us.
He's doing a great job!
