It's been such a long time since I submitted anything to a magazine but when I got the call for this special issue I knew I had the perfect thing, a darling bud vase made of a vintage spool of thread to hold a bouquet of tiny button and paper flowers. They accepted my entry, which always surprises and pleases me. Check out this issue on newsstands now--and let me know what you think of my little pretty on page 77. The best of all compliments though isn't that my project was selected and published it was that it appears in a magazine with the incredible work of Melissa Phillips the true queen of paper crafting! And to top it off my little flower bouquet shares the page with one of her amazing creations. It just made my day and I had to share. Be sure to check out Melissa's blog and you'll be hooked too I'm sure! She also has a fabulous etsy store you can find from her blog. Just click on the link for lilybean paperie on the blogs I like to visit.
