I was really worried that I wouldn't be able to finish Truman's Christmas present in time but I just finished binding his quilt and put it in the washer. In the morning I'll dry it and wrap it! I'm so excited to be finished. That makes 7 complete quilts this year for me. It's nothing like Meridy's 30 something her first year but I'm pretty proud of myself! I have 2 quilts in progress and one I'm just plain excited to start. I could sew all day everyday but people around here have to eat and I have to be able to walk the next day so that's that.
On Sunday I was looking at a quilting book, trying to choose a pattern for a quilt using fabric Martha gave me for my birthday, Truman came in the room and started looking with me and he was instantly intrigued. He started pointing out quilts he liked and after a few minutes he said, "I didn't know I would like quilts so much!" he was really excited and asked if I was ever going to make a quilt for him. There it was, in plain sight next to my bed. It made me happy to know he wants one, hope he likes it.
