Baby it's cold outside

Reilly got this great shot this morning before 7. It was snowing when James got up and by the time he was ready to leave for school they had closed the schools. Of course it isn't even snowing where his school is but they close the whole district when one area gets snow. YEAH! A snow day! It's still coming down out there and the radio reports all kinds of crazy accidents so we are happy as can be holed up in our warm little house.

So the forecast today? Cinnamon rolls are first, they are rising, the kids were shocked that I was making them just to eat, I only make them for a reason since I quit eating sugar because they are my #1 hardest food not to eat. I think I'll do the caramel layer on some pretzels and make licorice caramels and maybe even some peanut brittle bowls. We'll start to deliver on Friday so today is a bonus! I'm also hoping James will grind some wheat for me so I can make bread. I haven't made bread in a month and I am anxious to make some. And maybe I'll make some gingerbread cookies. It all sounds rather ambitious now that it's written down! But I have helpers and I am happy about that!

Netflix delivered Miracle on 34th Street and A Christmas Story yesterday so we are set for the day, when the kid's hands get too cold they'll come in and we'll have some old fashioned fun together, don't you wish you were here?

mmm, cinnamon rolls. I loved those rare snow days when I lived in AZ. Now it's crazy snow always here in UT and school is never cancelled :).

We got ELF from Netflix yesterday!

We have a little bit of snow, but where we used to live in Rexburg, they are bombarded. The mountains around us are all covered. So it will be interesting to see if we ever get a snow day, we always got at least a couple in Rexburg. Last year we had 9 foot high drifts and had to be plowed out by the farmes huge tractors! I am just glad we have a little snow for Christmas!
We got "The Holiday" in from Netflix today.
