I haven't posted in a very long time. Last year this was a busy time for me and it is again this year. I think the hardest thing for me is figuring out how to ask for help. I spent 6 hours Friday night cooking the chicken for the YW Broadcast dinner. I spent days working on it and just didn't know what I could ask people to do. The dinner was lovely and I was most especially grateful to President Lake, Bishop Evenson, and Kepi Tuiolitai for their assistance in the kitchen. We couldn't have done it without them!
Next up is Spring Break and a trip to Utah for Conference. I can't wait to get there Friday night (well, it will be Saturday morning). I am looking forward to being there, visiting, shopping, being inspired both by prophets and creative people, mountains, and my parents. Going home always feels a little like getting a drink of cool water after a month in the desert...hmm... a comparison that sounds pretty realistic!
I'm working on a scrapbook layout about what I love about where I live. The wildflowers have started blooming and they take my breath away with their simple, tenacious beauty. Most people hate them cause they make their heads stuffy, but this is my favorite time of the year here, even with a headache. I see those flowers popping up with their bright yellow faces out of dry as a bone dirt and it makes me thrilled to be alive. I love this beautiful earth and feel so blessed to be able to enjoy God's wondrous creations every single day!

Wow your yard has changed a lot! But I haven't been there since? Maybe I had one or two kids, or none. Don't remember! I get to hear reports from my parents on the work going on inside your home, after they have been to visit. Newell and I have a goal to go to CA this Fall/ Winter and hit up family (his brother lives there too) and the beach and Lego land. Austin has been beggin for years and he is getting older with every year (A deacon next Jan!) Right now Newell is bidding on houses all over the place, if he can just get banks to loan, then we are set! I agree with you that you need to learn to divide out the work more. I got asked last month by an overwhelmed Stake YW leader to help sew journal covers for our youths journals for the Martin Cove treck this June. Then I got asked by someone else to sew the new women's Hygiene kits for the church. And it felt good to be asked to do something and be able to be a small part of good works moving forward. Even little things will not only help relieve some pressure from you, but help someone else feel useful and helpful. So ask away;)
Hopefully we'll be able to see you conference weekend!
